Reflections on a Town Worth Living In

Week 3. Started the week lucky with Monday's MLK holiday. Took the opportunity to visit the Lincoln Memorial, stood in the same spot where MLK delivered the dream speech, and basked in the 53 degree weather. I hear that D.C. has better weather than SoCal right now. Suckers...

On Tuesday I attended a cloud computing event at Brookings Institution. Speakers included VP's of Google, Microsoft, and some Georgetown professors. Tremendous opportunity to speak with people in the business about my research out here. All goes well, I may end up with an actual job job.

And finally, a picture of a sweet house in Georgetown.

Warm Regards-
Mark

  1. Ah, D.C. Lindsey swears it's the best town in the US. I'm still kinda jealous that you're getting to spend four months out there. Thank you for sharing the pictures, they're gorgeous. Stay warm Mark! :)

  2. Mark- so excited to be following along with your latest adventure via "Hopping About", this time I promise it won't inspire some ill advised, lackluster attempt by me to start my own blog. We all know how that worked out. So glad to see you are enjoying yourself and the city. I wish you the best of luck on the job job front. Also if you are ever interested I would love to put you in touch with one of my favorite people in the world. Hes a a Hoya, a G-town loc, and a hell of guy. You know how to reach me. -Best, Dan B
